Social Media Drama
What the world has become after using social media platforms.
Social media is something that some people look forward to checking on in their everyday life. It is an addictive tool for some. Reviewing how many likes you can receive and comments about your work is enjoyable. It is good to see platforms allowing ordinary people get success overnight. The problem is that it can leave a lot of people in a state of depression. People who receive dislikes or negative comments can be affected. Also, some individuals try to humiliate others on social media.
On certain platforms such as Facebook and Tik Tok you can scroll down all day to read and look at different videos. It is hard for people to function in their daily lives without using social media. It makes it even harder when everything is displayed right on your phone.
Social media also leads to some people committing suicide or murdering people on different platforms. What is the world coming? The Buffalo shooter promoted his violence over the internet when he was committing his murders. Also, there’s a lot of misinformation being spread through social media.
Debates go on with false information because many on social media platforms assume, they have all the answers. Some use Facebook as a source of information instead of watching the news or reading a newspaper. This creates a bowl of confusion. It seems like social media has made humans slowly, but surely become stupid. It is creating people to live as the movie Idiocracy where Joe Bowers wakes up hundreds of years later to find out everyone is stupid, and an average person like him is the smartest man on planet earth.
